Congratulations to Izak (Innes) Buys whose work ‘Apathetic Force’ emerged as the overall winner at the Hello Ambassador Art and Design Competition held on 17-18 October 2014 in Pretoria.

Izak won the first mentorship programme prize in association with Thami Mnyele. In 2014 Lizamore & Associates extended their Mentorship Programme by aligning themselves with the prestigious Thami Mnyele Art Awards. As an exclusive prize, the gallery offers a solo exhibition to one of the Thami Mnyele merit award winners. The selected artist will be mentored by the gallery for a period of 6 months. Lizamore & Associates, along with Thami Mnyele Art Awards, was thrilled to announce Izak Buys as the first winner of this award!  Izak was selected for his diversity of material in art making as well as his outstanding conceptual insight.  His solo exhibition took place alongside Heidi Fourie at Lizamore & Associates in March 2015.
