Aftercare
Aftercare is offered to all grades and takes place on the school property.
Hours: 13:00 to 17:00
- Home from home environment
- Cooked nutritious meals
- Open all year except for 3 weeks in December
Aftercare Expectations of the School:
- to provide a safe, home from home and nurturing environment
- to provide open communication with parents
- to provide consistency in values/discipline
- to be attentive to children’s needs and fears
- to look out for bullying, and lonely children
- to provide assistance with some homework
- to provide creative and social activities
- to encourage the children in good stewardship of their possessions
Aftercare Expectations of the Parents:
- to pay fees on or before the due date
- to communicate timeously regarding illness/extra-curricular programmes
- to collect children before or by 17:15 each afternoon
- to provide warm clothing (marked) for possible weather changes
- to make alternate arrangements if collection time cannot be met
- to communicate if a child is unhappy
- to communicate clearly if children are to be given medication
