Sport
At The King’s School Robin Hills, we are committed to developing Christian character and equipping learners to make a meaningful difference in the world. Sport and extra-mural activities form an integral part of our educational programme, contributing to the holistic development of each learner.
Through sport, learners engage in healthy and constructive use of their time, build meaningful relationships with peers and teachers, and grow in values such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. Participation also plays an important role in building confidence and self-esteem.
Learners are encouraged to participate in at least one sport per term, providing valuable opportunities to form friendships, develop skills, and become fully integrated into the life of the school. Our passionate coaches invest in each learner, fostering both skills development and a love for sport.

The aim of offering sport in TKSRH is reflected in the Sport Policy as a whole. It determines the goals and guidelines to the practice of sport in the school.
- To develop the God-given talents of every learner, regardless of background or ability
- To use sport as a platform to build Christ-like character
- To inspire excellence in sportsmen and sportswomen who will impact the world for Christ
We aim to develop learners holistically through:
- Physical strengthening and fitness
- Improved co-ordination and motor skills
- The ability to manage competitive and social pressures
- The development of discipline and self-discipline
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Positive group interaction
- Emotional resilience and stress management
Team selections are guided by the following principles:
- Commitment to regular practice is essential
- Strong team combinations are maintained for matches where appropriate
- Opportunities are created for all learners to participate and grow
- Excellence and commitment are recognised and encouraged
- Development of less experienced players remains an important priority
All learners participating in sport are expected to:
- Attend practices and demonstrate commitment to their team
- Dress correctly and represent the school with pride
- Display punctuality and responsibility
- Show respect to coaches, referees, and officials
- Maintain a positive, courteous attitude at all times
- Care for facilities and the environment
- Encourage one another and demonstrate both gracious winning and losing
Our Inter-House competitions are a highlight of school life, fostering:
- Character
- Team spirit
- Camaraderie
- Commitment
- Servanthood
- Loyalty
Learners compete as part of three Houses: Judah, Zion, and Israel.
The Armour of God Initiative
Introduced in 2014, this meaningful tradition encourages learners to honour God in all they do. The awarding of symbolic “armour” pieces represents both achievement and spiritual truth.
Term Awards
Term 1:
- Breastplate of Righteousness – Swimming
- Helmet of Salvation – Chess
Term 2:
- Belt of Truth – Public Speaking
Term 3:
- Shoes of the Gospel of Peace – Athletics
- Shield of Faith – Mini-Athletics
- Sword of the Spirit – Bible Quiz
At the end of the year, the House that earns the most armour pieces is awarded the Crown, symbolically laid at the foot of the Cross—acknowledging that all victory belongs to God.
This initiative is inspired by Ephesians 6:10–18, which calls us to:
“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might… put on the whole armour of God…”
It reminds our learners that true strength, perseverance, and victory are found in God.
