Culture
At our school, cultural activities are a joyful expression of creativity, community, and worship. As Psalm 95 reminds us, “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord… let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” This spirit of praise and celebration underpins our cultural programme, where learners are encouraged to develop their God-given talents with confidence and purpose.
Cultural activities include:
- choir (Primary and High School)
- public speaking
- debating
- photography
- drama (Inter-house plays and school productions)
- worship team/band
- music
- art club
Through these opportunities, learners grow in creativity, collaboration, and self-expression, using their gifts in ways that honour God and enrich our school community.
At our school, community outreach is a meaningful outworking of our Christian faith and a reflection of our commitment to servanthood and stewardship. We encourage our learners to serve others with humility, compassion and a genuine heart to make a difference.
Led by our Student Leaders, who actively seek out worthy causes and opportunities for involvement, our community service initiatives invite every learner to look beyond themselves and respond to the needs of others. We count it a privilege to serve, recognising that in doing so, we honour God and live out our calling as a caring and responsible community.
Through a variety of projects and partnerships, learners are given practical opportunities to engage in “other-centredness”, developing empathy, generosity and a lifelong commitment to serving those less fortunate. These experiences not only enrich the lives of others, but also shape the character and values of our learners as they grow into compassionate leaders.
At The King’s School we encourage “other-centredness” and there are many opportunities for every learner to be involved in community service. This is one of the ways that we flesh out our core value of servanthood and live out our motto which is to “to make a difference”.
