Since leaving The King’s School I spent four years at Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho, USA) studying elementary education. This season was a real time of growth as I started a new life away from everything I knew. In summers between I had some jobs that I really enjoyed, for example, working at summer camp.
About six months ago I moved overseas to Manila, Philippines to begin as a Grade 2 teacher for missionary kids at Faith Academy. My classroom is quite diverse as I teach students from eight different nations.
It sure makes life interesting and humours as once in a while a student or two misinterprets instructions because of the different languages spoken and I find them doing something completely different than what I assigned. On weekends I help in an orphanage and in a weekly squatter ministry. It has been a journey, one that I have loved! My life was truly deepened and shaped by the input of teachers and students at The King’s School. I’ll always treasure The King’s School friends that I made in that season of my journey.
