Aftercare

Aftercare is offered to all grades and takes place on the school property.

Hours: 13:00 to 17:00

• Home from home environment
• Cooked nutritious meals
• Open all year except for 3 weeks in December

Aftercare Expectations of the School:

• to provide a safe, home from home and nurturing environment
• to provide open communication with parents
• to provide consistency in values/discipline
• to be attentive to children’s needs and fears
• to look out for bullying, and lonely children
• to provide assistance with some homework
• to provide creative and social activities
• to encourage the children in good stewardship of their possessions

Aftercare Expectations of the Parents:

• to pay fees on or before the due date
• to communicate timeously regarding illness/extra-curricular programmes
• to collect children before or by 17:15 each afternoon
• to provide warm clothing (marked) for possible weather changes
• to make alternate arrangements if collection time cannot be met
• to communicate if a child is unhappy
• to communicate clearly if children are to be given medication
