Dear Parents, Learners and Staff
The term has flown by and as we welcome the arrival of Spring, we pray that as the weather warms, our hearts too will overflow with warmth and love for our God and others. `For behold the winter is past. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of the singing of birds has come and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.’ Song of Songs 2:11-13.
Thank you for your loyal support of our fundraisers. We raised R5 260 for Casual Day which goes to Pathways Roodepoort. They support learners with special needs. Thank you to the Pre-Primary for hosting our annual Grandparents’ Tea which has become a favourite on our calendar. The Grade 5s also had lots of fun serving our guests and our grandparents thoroughly enjoyed their honouring.
Well done to our Grade 11s who creatively presented the Matrics with their Matric Farewell invitations. The Grade 11 Induction took place on 24 August and we congratulate those learners who will lead the school into 2017. For the Matrics it has been an exam term as they have tackled Prelims and on Friday 23 September they will be attending the Matric Dance, which will be our special time of making memories with staff and parents.
