The King’s School Robin Hills excelled in the final Matric examinations and is indeed ‘positioned to soar’, which was the theme for 2014. Once again we achieved a 100% pass rate. In a group of 48 students, there were 106 subject As and 118 subject Bs. 7 learners achieved averages of above 80%. 67% of our learners achieved an average of above 70%.
Peace Francis (Head Girl) (pictured left) achieved 10 distinctions and an A aggregate. Peace is in the IEB’s Top 1% for Business Studies, English, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Maths. She is listed in the Outstanding Achievement List of the IEB and will be studying Medicine at UCT.
Liam Devenish (dux scholar) achieved 9 distinctions and an A aggregate. Liam is also in the IEB’s Top 1% for Geography, English, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. He is listed in the Commendable Achievement List of the IEB and he too will be embarking on a career in Medicine at UCT.
Claire Ravenscroft achieved 8 distinctions and an A aggregate. Claire is in the IEB’s Top 1% for Business Studies and Life Orientation. She is listed in the Commendable Achievement List of the IEB. She will study Actuarial Science at Wits.
Eliyah Sischy achieved 8 distinctions and an A aggregate. Eliyah is in the IEB’s Top 1% for Accounting and English. He has been awarded a scholarship to study Medicine at Wits.
Nicole Pilley and Ann Mackechnie achieved 6 distinctions each and an A aggregate. Nicole is in the IEB’s Top 1% for Hospitality Studies and Life Orientation.
Matthew Woods and Lesego Moeng achieved 5 distinctions each, with Lesego obtaining an A aggregate.
As a school we give God all the glory for these results. We are thrilled to celebrate 30 years in Christian education where each learner realises their individual potential. We thank the IEB most gratefully for their ongoing support and commitment to maintaining high standards in education.
